Are you puzzled by some of your partner's behaviors?

Do you struggle to respond to your partner's challenging or problem behaviors?

Are you starting to feel overwhelmed and burnt out as a care partner?

No worries! You are in the right place! Let me introduce you to "With Intent: A Practical Guide to Navigating Behaviors Along the Dementia Care Journey." Now, the name is pretty self-explanatory. However, allow me to breakdown just exactly what you will find in this book and what sets it apart from other dementia care books.

Firstly, "With Intent" is all about learning how to interact with your partner living with dementia in intentional ways, from the way you communicate and interact with your partner to the way you setup the environment and everything in between. "With Intent" also highlights the importance of being intentional when it comes to caring for yourself while caring for others. Your quality of life matters too and it's oh so important that you don't neglect yourself while tending to the needs of your partner.

One of the things that "With Intent" does an excellent job at is simplifying what can be a complex topic into easy to understand information. The book was carefully formatted to serve as both a book and a reference guide so that you can quickly flip to the information you need. You'll also notice that the book was written in a large font to improve readability and that sections were bolded, italicized, or separated out to enhance your ability to absorb the information in a very digestible way. Ultimately, knowing that dementia care partners are busy people, we tried our darndest to cut out the fluff and rambling that you might find in other books. Throughout the book we do our best to stay on topic and only provide you with relevant examples.

In total, "With Intent" features 10 chapters, with chapter 4 and 5 being the bread and butter of the book. What's in chapter 4 and 5, you may ask? The P. A. N. D. A Method! Most of you have likely never heard of this method. It's a method that was created by the founder of Bambu Care, Bre'anna Wilson. The P. A. N. D. A. Method is an intentional interaction framework for adapting to, modifying, or eliminating "challenging" behaviors in persons living with dementia. The P. A. N. D. A. Method offers a structured, yet flexible step-by-step approach to problem-solving through difficulties care partners may run into along the dementia care journey. With this method, you will learn how to appreciate your partner’s behaviors as a form of communication, identify their unmet or overmet needs, and devise an action plan specific to your partner. Essentially, you will learn just how to become the ultimate dementia detective.

One of the great things about the P. A. N. D. A. Method is that it is simple to remember and integrate into your care journey. In our opinion, it does no good to learn about a technique that sounds good, but is way too hard and inconvenient to actually learn and use. We promise you — you won't have that problem with the P. A. N. D. A. Method.

Now, although the P. A. N. D. A. Method is great, it's not the only great information included in the book. The book also covers:

• The basics and stages of dementia
• Sensory changes with dementia
• Environmental considerations
• Communication etiquette
• Accepting changes along the dementia care journey
• End of life considerations
• Self-care

At surface level it seems like pretty basic topics, right? But, trust us, this book will be a game changer for your dementia care journey.

Are you ready to learn how to care with intent and make your care journey a bit easier?

Are you ready to learn how to become the ultimate dementia detective?

Are you ready to learn how you can still find joy in what can feel like such a heartbreaking journey?
